Wayzata began attending the St. Michael-Albertville Invitational in 2021, following the COVID-modified season of 2020. STMA entered the Lake Conference in 2017 and began competing with Lake Conference teams more regularly during that time. The Lower Rec Center in St. Michael has hosted the meet the entire time Wayzata has attended and now also serves as host site of the JV Season Finale and the Middle School State Championships, co-hosted by Wayzata and STMA. The STMA Invitational has served as a great meet in the build-up to the championship portion of the season in late September/early October.
